Al Taliaferro, 1951 HR

Elvira Coot, often referred to as Grandma Duck, is Donald's grandmother, and the spouse of Dabney Duck. She first appeared in the September 9, 1943 Donald Duck daily strip drawn by Al Taliaferro. A "proto-Grandma Duck" was shown in a 1940 Donald Duck sunday page.
