Ein Zeuge in der Jury gegen Lasswell wird erspresst mit seiner Vergangenheit. Die Spur der Erpresser führt in das Gefängnis von Anderville. Mickey lässt sich hineinschmuggeln und tatsächlich gelingt es ihm, ein wichtiges Beweisstück, welches der Erpressung dient, zu sichern. Im Endeffekt wird Lasswell zwar verurteilt, in den entscheidenden Anklagepunkten aber freigesprochen, sodass lediglich Sozialarbeit als Strafe bleibt, natürlich von einem unfähigen Gericht ausgesprochen.
