It is fund-raising week, and two teams from East High, one lead by Sharpay and another by Chad, are competing for the team that makes most money, with a dunking booth for the loser. There are sports, baking, music and dance competitions to stir up the public, but suddenly, another team takes part in the competition, from West High, with them of the three teams having made the most money: both Sharpay and Chad loose, and are set on the dunking booth.
