It’s a simple idea for sure, but having a treasure hunt closer to home than we’re used to, while throwing some refreshing world building and town history into the mix, has great potential. Unfortunately, it doesn’t fully live up to that promise. The main problem is the script. Not that it’s a case of flat out bad writing, it’s the length of the script that’s the real issue. While 30 is a comparatively average number of pages as far as modern Disney comics are concerned, it should’ve been at least 15 pages longer. Had the story been a bit more fleshed-out and given room to breathe a little, I’d liked it so much more. Still, it’s definitely above average. 6+/10 |
