La forza di questa storia, oltre all'ottima arte, è quella di catturare la mentalità un'epoca, il che la rende una preziosa testimonianza, senza farla risultare datata. |

Atmosfera esotica pazzesca, Gottfredson in notturna è persino meglio che di giorno, vedi Blaggard Castle (e questa location è al contempo uguale e opposta a quella!). |

The starting idea of the kidnapping works perfectly, such a dark humor! The central part of the story (with Pet sending Mickey for all those heavy duties) is weaker than the surprising beginning and the adventurous ending...but well, the story is a gluing of strips, so one can expect this kind of changes in the tone. Comunque, credo che uno dei commentatori precedenti sia in errore: forse ha letto una versione con qualche striscia omessa, perché il tiranno del deserto i nuovi fucili li collauda! Se non ricordo male è il carico di munizioni che gli fornisce Topolino a non funzionare...o no? |
