I've now spoken to two high-ranking people at ECC (the company that produces the Danish Disney comics). Both of them tell me that D 2000-023 "Clown of the Jungle" was plotted and scripted by Per Hedman.

Ferioli wrote D 2000-034 "Mickey's Trailer". Are you sure you haven't mixed up the two stories or misunderstood Ferioli?

I've now read the Danish translation of this story. I assume no one has changed the artwork (why would they?).

To me, at least, the parents in S 75182 look very different from Hortense and Quackmore.

Oh, and Mark Worden made his Duck family tree several years after this story was published, so any inspiration would be the other way round.

The characters in S 75182 are obviously not the DR characters.

Some comments here mentioned Mark Worden's tree (Qus/CBL 6HA). There we're listing some DR characters. Maybe some of them (e.g. DD's parents) should be listed as different characters, since they look very different?

No, it doesn't. Only the first few pages of that story have been printed in the US, and Il Gatto doesn't appear in any of them.
