Luciano Bottaro (November 16, 1931, Rapallo - November 25, 2006) Nationality Italy Comic-book, comic strips, illustrations Illustrations for Lo Scolaro 1949-1950. - Mondadori: Artwork for Disney comics 1951-1979 and 1990s (mainly duck stories). Many scripts of his own or in collaboration with Carlo Chendi. - Has created many new strips for various publishers and magazines, e.g. Edizioni Alpe (Pepito 1951, I Postorici 1957 Whisky & Gogo 1959), Bianconi (Pik e Pok 1952, Baldo 1952), Lo Scolaro (Pon Pon 1954), Fasani (Piper Maïopi 1959, Oscar Nasolungo 1960) and Bierreci (Re di Picche 1967). In many cases the scripts and sometimes the artwork, too, were taken over by others. - Leader of Studio Bierreci with Georgio Rebuffi and Carlo Chendi 1968-1985. - Disney Studios: Artwork for foreign-market comic-book stories 1969-1972 (scripts by Carlo Chendi). - Computer graphics and comics 1990s.
