The story starts with Scrooge feeling depressed and lonely. He suddenly starts obsessively studying soap operas and their plots, then announces his plans to create his own soap opera. Casting himself, and his associates in the various roles. The very first episode presents a riddle with which the protagonist, played by Scrooge himself, hopes to find a proper heir to his fortune. Soon cast members and audience start suspecting that the riddle is real, and that Scrooge is searching for someone to replace him at the helm of his financial empire. Giving everyone a new motive to watch the series.
