Script: 3/10 (bumpy, at times very confusing, feels rushed and crude. I only know the German version with 2 pages cut though, so I'll give it an extra point assuming that these pages explain a bit more)
Drawings: 9/10 (Scarpa's great phase, but not one of his best efforts)
Average: Weak 8/10 (strong 7/10 for the shortened German version) |

Il finale infatti poteva essere migliore. Non ce lo vedo Topolino smanioso ed entusiasta di essere diventato l'imperatore della Calidornia. Proprio lui, solitamente così sobrio ed umile. |

Di grande impatto, in particolare, sono il prologo nel 1880 e il divertente quanto beffardo epilogo. Buoni i disegni, sia in fase ritrattistica sia in fase scenografica (in particolare le scene ambientate nel deserto). |
