Significativo e simbolico che il tradimento dell'anonimo Famedoro sia ciò che segna il definitivo indurimento di Paperone: se finora le sue esperienze gli hanno dato vantaggi positivi, oppure scotti da cui poi si è ripreso, questa volta l'inganno di cui è vittima segna l'inizio del rdicale mutamento negativo che lo accompagnerà per decenni.
