Mickey Mouse and Goofy are accidentally teleported to an alien planet where they discover an extraterrestrial civilization and a guardian robot (looking identical to Mickey) defending the civilians from hostiles. It was left there by Goofy´s ancestor - an inventor who visited the planet years ago. When the robot unexpectedly stops functioning, it is up to Mickey to disguise himself as the machine to prevent enemies from launching any attacks while Goofy hurries back to Earth to find his long lost family member and ask him to fix the robot.
