ere are some guidelines and advices for writing messages to COAzilla, our error reporting tool:

• Write your text in English. Use a different language only if you can predict who will read and solve your message.
• Only write a message if you are certain about the information. If it is about writers or artists, or anything not obvious, also write the source of your information.
• If you want to write a lot of messages, please send an e-mail to us first. There are more efficient ways of entering lots of data into Inducks than using this webpage.
• For the same reason, don't report incomplete information when this information is obvious to add (typically list of appearances for covers for which a scan is shown).
• Don't report non-mandatory information like most appearance comments (e.g. "silhouette" or "cameo") or one-shot appearances. They're currently too much work to handle.
• Check the actual comics whenever possible. If you only rely on scans or present Inducks data to report an error, say so.
• Send less error reports, but write them more carefully. Plain English sentences help avoid misunderstandings.
• Be patient. Your message might be solved within 5 minutes, but it also might take 5 months. It all depends on the time we have (and we're all volunteers!)
• Don't ask questions here like "who knows the artist of this story?" Most likely we cannot answer them anyway. Questions are for a discussion board, but not for COAzilla.
• The only response you may get is a simple message saying "solved". Don't be offended by that: we get hundreds of messages per week so we want to spend most of our time actually fixing the errors.
• Below are some examples of good vs. bad error reports

  The French name of Pete is Jean Bambois	In issue #1234 of French Journal de Mickey, story YM 050, Pete is named Jean Bambois. Please add this name among other French names for Pete.
  The artist of this cover is Massimo De Vita	In an interview published in Italy in Maestri Disney 12, Massimo De Vita said he drew this cover.
  The description is wrong	The English description does not match with the scan so one of these has to be wrong.

• Avoid writing duplicate reports. Reporting the same problem more than
  once benefits no one and only leads to more work for Inducks
  maintainers
