itTopolino e Pippo trovano murato in una vecchia casa il fantasma di un bandito da strada(Gaspare Gasparone). Apparentemente cattivissimo, il fantasma si dimostra in seguito una pasta di fantasma, alle prese con le invenzioni e le abitudini dei tempi moderni. Alla fine, dopo aver debellato un'associazione criminale(Anonima Criminali Contenti Inc.) e aver salvato, con l'aiuto di Topolino, numerosi spettri, ritrova la stima e l'amicizia degli altri fantasmi. La storia si conclude con l'elezione di Topolino a "fantasma onorario", con conseguente, classico, attraversamento dei muri e altrettanto classica "facciata", quando ci riprova, da solo, davanti all'attonita Minni, la quale, preoccupata, si premura di avvisare immediatamente il dottore, mentre Topolino saluta, davvero per l'ultima volta, i suoi amici fantasmi.
