Animated films Director and leading animator at Walt Disney's first studio Laugh-O-Gram Films in Kansas City 1922-1923 and at the Disney Studios in Hollywood 1924-1930. - Head of his own studio 1930-1940. Directed/animated his own series of shorts (Flip the Frog, Willie Whopper, Comicolor Cartoons). Also subcontracted for other studios: Warner Bros. 1937 (Porky Pig), Columbia Pictures 1936-1940 (Scrappy, Color Rhapsodies) and Cartoons Limited 1940 (Gran' Pop Monkey). - Returned to the Disney Studios in 1940 to work with special effects and to develop new production techniques.
